Does anyone have a pattern to make a Saree blouse or tell me where I could find a pattern? Last year I visited India and brought fabric home to make a Saree for my mother. I could not have it stitched in India due to our difference in size. Please help if you can...either here or email me privately at:

I don't know if it's a recent thing with them, as it's been a couple years in between purchasing Folkwear patterns but..the choli pattern goes up to 3x and it's a very generous 3x.

one of our member.. in this tribe her name is annbella she is from australia.. i have seen her one webs she have exact free sari blouse pattern.. u can just print from webs and cut blouse.. i was waiting if she can post here.. but may be she is not reading.. message otherwise she sure.. going to reply here.. please if you can contact her.. she will sure help you to get free pattern on her web pages..

Wed, July 27, 2005 - 11:33 AMmost of the free online patterns are cholis' for dancers. Stretchy fabrics, open backs, wrap/very low cut fronts. Great if you are a bellydancer, or some other tribal style. Not great if you want to wear it with your sari, imo.
Just looks a bit 'off' to pair a backless stretchy choli with a nice sari. -

I made one sample choli, then made one to wear (still needed sizing) then finally cut into my *gasp* beautiful silk sari...lavender shot gold...have had it for almost 3 years w/o cutting. With the sizing fixed I made the choli and it was wonderful! -
