Re: Happy Diwali
Sun, October 22, 2006 - 6:53 AMWell, I am soooo very glad I did answer. I hope you had a marvelous Diwali!
I am a holifay/festival junkie. This sounds like it is a one day event, but is there a lot of pre-Diwali time that people get ready for it? Are there marevelous decorations, as India as a whole seems to be very decorative (one of the things I love the most!) Are there major color themes, and do they have a meaning?
I love learning new things about other cultures!

Re: Happy Diwali
Mon, October 23, 2006 - 4:10 PMhappy Diwali Ajay! There are many celebrations here in Vancouver for Diwali, as we have a large Indian population. There was 3 days of celebration for Diwali this weekend - they advertise it as the "festival of light overcoming darkness". Lots of food, music, arts, and dancing! -

Thu, October 26, 2006 - 7:51 AMI don't work for Hallmark!!!! I'm a bellydancer/finance person who used to be a forensic mortician (talk about career change)! I simply should keep them in business, the amount of e-mails I have to send through them.
