Well, I am soooo very glad I did answer. I hope you had a marvelous Diwali!

I am a holifay/festival junkie. This sounds like it is a one day event, but is there a lot of pre-Diwali time that people get ready for it? Are there marevelous decorations, as India as a whole seems to be very decorative (one of the things I love the most!) Are there major color themes, and do they have a meaning?

I love learning new things about other cultures!

happy Diwali Ajay! There are many celebrations here in Vancouver for Diwali, as we have a large Indian population. There was 3 days of celebration for Diwali this weekend - they advertise it as the "festival of light overcoming darkness". Lots of food, music, arts, and dancing!

I work for an Indian fellow, and we have a 90% Indian client base, so thank goodness Hallmark has e-cards for Diwali! I sent out..probably 200? Diwali cards....so thank you for Diwali wishes--I'm only now undigging myself from the e-card pile!

I don't work for Hallmark!!!! I'm a bellydancer/finance person who used to be a forensic mortician (talk about career change)! I simply should keep them in business, the amount of e-mails I have to send through them.
